there is no good food around columbia! my fellow grad students and i searched high and low--and found very little. there's a place on amsterdam and 122 or so... called kitchenette something or another that had a decent brunch. but other than that... bleh. congrats on the job decision... i too would not be able to stay at a job i hate.

hey soph, happy to hear that you quit your job. most people make mistakes when choosing their career/future, but like you said, its better that you realized it now before it was too late; i mean, you're still so young (hah, this coming from me), so you basically still have your entire career in front of you! best of luck with the job hunt, im sure you will find something you like.

oh also, the platter was great - not just pretty, but delicious as well!

heyyyy sophie!!
oh my goodness it's been sUCH a long time! this is eileen...don't know if you remember me from berkeley. we used to have a couple classes together and i think we raved about food during those long boring hours. i didn't know you had a foodblog! i'm a foodblog fanatic...i browse the foodblog community all the time (though my obsession has slightly lessened). i tried making a food blog but it turned into a korea/food blog. anyhoo~ stay in touch!! and keep the food pictures comin :D

ps. i miss milk tea from cali...heck, from america~~ :'(

Hi Sophie! Mmm...I think I'm feeling an In-N-Out craving right now just reading your blog...=) Happy to have found you here recording your adventures and sharing them with us. I will definitely come back especially for needed recipes! I'm glad you found a conviction to pursue something you enjoy apart from your current (and soon previous) job. Hope you find the next best thing out there and of course, enjoy your time in-between it. =) Take cares!

Oooh, I love those burgers, although I haven't yet been brave enough to try the fries animal style.
So how are things going? I've missed your posts, and your photos.
